Problem

Each year, Clark Construction gifts their own clients and shareholders with a special holiday package. In 2019, they contracted Joba Studios to design their holiday package.

Objective

Design a holiday gift box and packaging to print and wrap the gift with. Source options of a holiday gift contents for Clark Construction to choose from.

Process and Solution

Working with my design team, we met with Clark Construction several times to decide on direction for the design and packaging.

They decided on the words and lettering for the packaging, and I was able to present a few options for the box and gold version of the design. They eventually decided on a simple Yoco brand gift box with our packaging.

Design proposal

A few of my proposals were thinner than the final selected design. This was a suggested proposal for a wine only box, and I gave the client several options to choose from.

The square package was ultimately chosen, and I used simple 3D modeling to render a few options for the client.

Results

Using Clark Construction direction, we developed a holiday gift for them to send with confidence and pride. The gift is simple and elegant, but ended up only printing the card inside and deciding not to decorate the outside of the box.

Further

It would be great to see the budget expanded and this type of design laser engraving into the wooden box. This would give a great edge to the gift without compromising the paper print in shipping.
