Problem
For Sight and Sound’s upcoming production, evocative products are needed for their merchandise sales to engage attendees and give them a strong connection between the production and the main themes.
Objective
1. Create 2-3 products that showcase the main themes of the upcoming production
2. Design a campaign that can be applied to further product design for the production
Process and Solution
Client gave the brief and expected three rounds of iteration before being satisfied with the products.
I decided on the theme of “Remember” to echo the main message of the production, which was to remember God’s faithfulness to His people. Each product is a way for the user to remember God’s faithfulness in their own lives.
Product Proposal
Initial proposal with design direction was given to the client and the client delivered feedback. The presentation worked through the concept systematically and highlighted options for the client to choose regarding direction.

REMEMBER: CAMPAIGN STYLES
Combining retro design styles with modern treatment and bold, high-contrast colors, the logo design and treatment are custom typography based off the Kaoly font and Montserrat to contrast retro titles with modern, caps sans serif.
This bold type set logo emphasize the theme of the production, focusing on tying each piece of product design into a memorable, timeless, and trend-forward style.
Product #1: The Camera
With the theme of “Remember” applying to merchandise products, I designed a disposable camera in two campaign colors to be a literal way to “Remember” moments in a user’s day.
Each camera is packaged with a card describing the theme connection to the production and providing a link to buy tickets and follow on social media.
Product #2: Notebooks
Another product that records moments in time to fit with the theme of “Remember,” the notebook brings together the campaign styles in a modern way to create a unique product that is functional in its thematic purpose and bold in its memorability as merchandise.
Each notebook is wrapped with a card describing the theme connection to the production and providing a link to buy tickets and follow on social media.
Product #3: Stickers
Printed and photographed for the initial proposals, stickers are designed with the campaign styles and thematically draw from Levitical animal laws, giving a series of blind sticker packets for users to collect the whole set of animal stickers.
Each sticker set includes a card describing the theme connection to the production and providing a link to buy tickets and follow on social media.
Additional Product: T-Shirt Design
Results
The campaign was applied across several products, flexible and adaptable to the production’s timeline and creative connection to audience.
Further
T-shirts could be produced with the campaign styles, and other items like cups, mugs, bookmarks, postcards, etc are easy to create from the outlined solution.
